• Artist Statement

  I went to a zoo and tried to take photos of some animals that I found interesting and came across a sleeping leopard with no other animals. As I took pictures, the leopard started seeming more standoffish, sticking its tongue out to the world around it. I was lucky to be able to get good photos because the more carnivorous animals are usually kept behind chain fences which makes them hard to focus on.

• Creative Statement

  Exploring and expressing my creativity impacts my life by providing a way to express my emotions for myself. It also strengthens my bonds with other people because I paint or draw art that is personal to them. Most importantly, it gives me a part of my identity as an artist.
