I recently moved from Mexico to the United States and felt disconnected from my culture. I realize this is a very important part of my identity and my portfolio reflects memories that I cherish from my home.
I took my culture for granted when I lived in Mexico, and didn't see it as anything special. However, When I first arrived in America and was learning to speak English, I felt very isolated and even ashamed of my culture. Now I realize how important it is, and I want to honor my culture.

Ever since I was a kid, making art has been a passion for me. However, I didn’t really get into it until two years ago, when the pandemic began. Creating art helped me through those hard times; whenever I felt depressed, I drew how I wanted things to be. Using vibrant colors to portray the happiest.
