This piece is a ceramic tile with a koi pond design. This tile represents the koi fish coming out of the water. There are lily pads and lotus flowers around the koi fish. I made a koi pond to make multiple layers for this piece. I think that koi fish are beautiful and I love the splash of color on their fins and body. I thought it would be a great centerpiece on a dining table. I made the koi really big because when you place the tile on a table, it will look like it's popping out of the water. I did not want to make just a koi fish, so I also added some lotus and lily pads since you see those on koi ponds too.

I can create different kinds of artwork with any idea that comes to my mind. Which I never thought was possible until this year. I thought my ideas were too challenging or complicated, but now I get to make my ideas come to life through art.
