Free Mind

For this piece I wanted to try working outside of my comfort zone, which is traditional media, more specifically using acrylic paints. I used cornstarch to thicken the paint, and brushed and a palette knife to create the textures. In this piece, I wanted to capture how free the mind is when you're dreaming, they even say that the things that you see in your dreams reveal something deep about you. The waves representing the freedom and the flow of thoughts that your subconscious mind creates, the sharp teeth representing struggles that are only seen internally.

I personally use it to tell stories that otherwise would be difficult for me to put in words. I enjoy creating pieces that are personal and unique to me, which include my interests, and styles of art that I enjoy.
