Different but Alike

Just like these two frames, all of us are different in the sense we look different. We might have a different skin color. We might have different personalities, cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. But in the end, we are all humans, and we are all the same. We all end up contributing to a successful environment and society. Just like how these two trees look different, they are helping the same environment flourish. They come together to make something complete. My artistic process while painting this art was to try to show two same but different objects. I realized that trees have all sorts of shapes and colors but still have the same role in a forest. I decided to draw two trees on two different backgrounds and make it so that when the two frames were connected, it would look like one tree. This would show how things can be different and alike at the same time.

In a world full of technology and social media, keeping time aside to work with colors, mediums or different creative tools helps my mind calm down, focus well, and think creatively. It is a great way to express ideas or communicate in a way we usually can’t talk or be straightforward about.
