Castles Made of Sand by J. Hendrix

Nathan R.

  • For me I have always loved Jimi Hendrix’s style and he has been an inspiration as he is for musicians all over the world. I choose Castles Made of Sand for its unique timing and intro riff but it’s also very distinctive Jimi style. I have also found that I love to improvise during solos and fills, there is something that i find magical in the sound that you make through spontaneity (even though it does cause some mistakes here and there). So to combine these I took the main riff and chords from Castles made of Sand and than added my own licks and fills in that I made on the spot. I tried to end it with a connection back to the beginning with the main lick again.

  • Music is a way to express feelings and emotions that you can’t through words. Even though it takes a lot of practice and determination Music has helped me see the world through new windows and has let me experience new things and sounds never I would have though possible.
