Alone Together

Isaac G.

  • I tried capturing the idea of thinking you're alone when you aren't.

You feel alone in your struggles. You feel abandoned, deserted, left behind, and isolated. These emotions are universal and help us build empathy towards each other. They warp around our souls and form threads that connect us. These potential friends are your first shadow.

Your loved ones who have passed remain in your mind. Their legacies are enduring in our thoughts. How you remember them is how they live on by your side. Those that you treasured are your second shadow.

As indisputable as the Sun turning, loneliness lays in the shadows of the world that surround you. But if you look closer you'll also see the two shadows that have been with you. Those two shadows surrounding you were invisible to you at first, overlapping with the shadows of the world.

The white circle is you, alone together.

  • Expressing my creativity helps me learn how to identify specific ideas, emotions, and moods. It makes it easier for me to see into my mind and come face-to-face with my thoughts. Exploring my creativity makes me feel more confident in myself. My love for uniqueness is expressed in the photos I take.
