A Thousand Lives, One Lifetime

Through this piece, I've expressed my inexhaustible love for books and reading. I describe what it feels like to read, fall in love with characters and worlds, and dive into pools of literature. When I first thought of the idea to write a piece on books I didn't know what type of format to write it in nor what I wanted to include in it. In English class, we'd just been learning about vignettes, descriptive passages that rely heavily on details, so I decided to take up the challenge of experimenting with the style. At first, I found it difficult to start the piece and I was struck by a temporary bout of writer's block. However, inspiration soon followed as I continued writing and got into a flow.

Writing allows me to express how I feel in an artistic sense. It's a way to articulate my feelings into words. I enjoy writing as I do reading, with passion. I love exploring different writing styles and forms of writing, and I've especially enjoyed working with imagery by writing vignettes.
