Stripped Sunflower

The art piece I'm choosing to submit is that of a wilted sunflower. I decided to draw a sunflower that had been wilting for a while. I think there's something so beautiful about the imperfect aspects of nature. I first started out with a sketch of the general shapes that made up the flower, I then added a sketch of each part of the flower with more detail. Finally, I outlined and stippled the artwork which added more depth and character to it. Overall, I think it turned out really well and I'm very proud of what I created.

To me, creativity is something that comes from both the heart and mind. I think creativity is something that is unique to each person. For me, my creativity stems from looking at the world around me and interpreting it in different ways.
