• Artist Statement

  My inspiration for writing this piece was my fascination with how the powerful forces of the ocean’s tide and the moon’s pull are connected. I thought that it would be interesting to try and showcase this connection by personifying them. By doing this, it makes it easier for us to understand and relate to these celestial forces through what we recognize as love in that they complete and amplify each other.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is the way that my brain processes and understands the world. I think that everyone’s creative spirit is different depending on the way your brain is wired and the environment you grew up around. I express myself mostly through writing and writing is almost second nature to me.
