• Artist Statement

  In my work, Social Studies, I wanted to show how schools aren't entirely about education, but is the main way a majority of students meet new people. This makes school impact a students social life as much as it impacts their education. Many people in school have a good social life and enjoy meeting new people, but there are also many people who feel as if school is mentally draining and they feel as if they don't belong in the environment. I chose this theme since school is a big part of my life and will continue to stay in my life, so I wanted to touch on a side of school that many people think isn't a big problem. I was also learning how to use procreate while doing this assignment and learned many tricks to make my art cleaner.
