• Artist Statement

  My sister is my idol. I do what she does, so naturally, when she picked up a camera and decided to take pictures, so did I. We would compare our photos, and while we were at vastly different skill levels, as I am three years younger, her photos never ceased to amaze me. But photography became so much more than a way to admire my sister. It helps me admire the world around me - the plants, the animals, the people.

  Through photography, I can show others how I see the world. I can see something beautiful, grab my camera, point, and shoot. Such simple motions can have such a profound effect on others.

  Photography helps me express my feelings, thoughts, and creativity. I am grateful to my sister for introducing me to this medium that allows me to feel so deeply. My camera will stay with me wherever I go because spotting beauty is unpredictable. My hope is to take and share beautiful pictures that inspire others to do the same.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity is the power to see things differently. My camera is my constant companion because it is my main source of creativity. I will always try to innovate, solve problems, and find joy by looking at the world through a different lens.
