• Artist Statement

  This piece is an image of an old piano sitting in the school garden on a rainy day. It captures the water droplets on the dirty keys with a shallow depth of field focusing on just the front of the image. I wanted to capture this because I love images including water and I thought that the water on the dirty keys looked really crisp and the colors and dirt in the image really complimented the water droplets. I knelt by the side of the piano and rested my camera right on the edge of it and focused it as much as I could on the water and captured it. I edited it with a little tone help and cropping until I was happy with the final result. I edited the image to make the dirt and water pop out as much as possible so you can really focus on it.
