This is a ceramic piece that I made with clay. It is meant to be a human heart, with patches of mold and a small mushroom growing out of it. I used various pictures of human hearts that I found online to make it the most realistic piece possible. I made this in the course of about 4 days, using ceramic glaze to make it slightly red, like an actual human heart. I left the mold spores unglazed for the more realistic texture and look. This sculpture makes me happy, and I think it represents me in a way.

Creativity means coming up with new and original ideas, and expressing what’s in your brain. For me that manifests as drawing and sculpture, where I can turn thoughts into real life things for other people to see. It’s a way of communicating myself better than I can with words.
