• Artist Statement

  "Black Beaded Bracelet" was inspired by my dad and my mom. I wanted to write a piece that captured their individual personalities with references to how they live. My dad is a meticulous, organized person and my mom was a glamorous one. She passed away a few years ago and this is an unbelievable, fashion sense that I continue to admire to this day. I set this piece in the later stages of her life as these were the times that I remember most vividly. She always wore expensive headscarves and these beautiful beaded bracelets that were healing bracelets according to her. I dedicate this piece to her.
