• Artist Statement

  I was walking around school and I wanted to take a picture of something that had a decent amount of lines and color in it. I saw this fence and thought about taking a picture of just the leaves and fence, not the pole in the middle, so I did and it was very bland, and didn’t feel right. I saw this part of the fence and tested a picture and thought it looked way nicer than my last photo. The unedited version of the photo felt very bland, and the leaves that weren’t dead didn’t stand out as much and weren’t as vibrant, so I made them stand out. The little amount of color makes the image less overwhelming and calmer to look at, especially with the giant pole in the middle with the horizontal pole coming off of it.

  Creativity to me means anything that makes me happy or expressing my feelings through art work. Discovering new things that can give me new and original ideas.
