I wrote this loosely based on a personal experience, and on an idea of how technology will continue to affect people, especially younger ones. I also had the idea for the Lady at the end which is a Mayan Myth named Xtabay which is said to lure drunk men to their deaths in a forest. My dad’s side of the family is from Yucatán and Mayan so I wanted to include some of that in my story. My mother also helped me with ideas for this short story but I really enjoyed writing it, although it was a challenge.

Creativity means the ability to express your thoughts and feelings freely, and share it with others to inspire greater works for the future. Creative writing for me, is to share your ideas, characters, thoughts, expressions through words and not being tied down by rules, or reality in some cases.
