• Artist Statement

  I often heard my friends feeling dull around the holidays because the ”spirit” is not quite what it used to be. I wanted to write this short story to capture the dullness many teenagers may feel, but also showcase the flip-side of this time of year and what makes it special. I incorporated details from my own Christmas experiences that made me treasure each this season, in order to be as authentic as possible in my writing, and have others feel the same.
