Windows

The inspiration for this piece was to look into a room of an empty home and show how it reveal things about whoever is living there. I called the work “Window,” as the room is like a window into the homeowner’s life and personality. The idea of the work stemmed from exploring a theme of comfort and coziness. Leaving the piece unpainted allows the viewer to add their own color and paint their own feelings over it. The clay medium emulates a feeling of the home feeling cold and stiff while there is no life inside to bring warmth to it.

Creativity is being able to express all of my feelings and having the freedom to try new things and do things different ways or to look at things through different angles.
