This piece depicts the average scene during my family’s trips, with each pair of shoes taking a piece of the memories from the vacation. Whether visiting Oregon, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, and Arizona, I recall these familiar moments: my father driving through gas stations, the citrusy scent that came from oranges we bring along our trips, and the sun soaking the sky red as we pass the mountains. Nostalgia often hits me whenever I spend my tireless day with school and work. The vibrant patterns and fabric show the feeling of familiarity and the sense of comfort when I am with my family. Like the trip to America which seemed like a temporary visit that turned into our permanent home, I hope it stays as a cherished, permanent hobby of ours, continuing to make delightful memories for me to look back on.

Creativity, to me, is reflection. ”How? Why?” Creativity is to take that very question and explore it in every way possible until one is deemed insane in the eyes of others. It is a tool for us to push our boundaries and grow endlessly.
