• Artist Statement

  This was my first time bookbinding as well as using linoleum block printing. I wanted to explore the alchemical properties of peacocks and their feathers. Through several pages, I depict a peacock’s anatomical information and the magical properties associated with the animal across different cultures. I penned all the writing in alchemist symbols to amplify immersion.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity means the ability to express internal ideas and emotions through artistic means. It means thinking outside of the box and discovering new ways of portraying old concepts.
