• Artist Statement

  A typical teen named Lucy Bennett lived in Antioch; she discovers is part of a line of witches after her grandmother’s death. After receiving a mysterious box with a spell book, dried herbs, and a crescent moon pendant. She begins practicing spells in secret, mastering simple ones but struggling with protection magic. One night, deep in the woods, Lucy meets a man who belittles her for being inexperienced. After an initially unsuccessful act of self-defense, she manages to flee and throws herself back into her grandmother’s spell book. There, she learns of a strong protection spell entitled ”The Guardian’s Flame,” and through her grandmother’s pendant, Lucy gets her confidence. Lucy unleashes a wall of fire with her increased strength and sending the man running. This victory marks the beginning of a journey to come into her identity as a powerful witch.

• Creative Statement

  To me creativity means to express yourself and let your brain go through any fun idea it has. For me I love writing and coming up with new stories.
