This picture is part of a set that I shot about the homeless epidemic in the bay area. The picture was taken on one of the warmest days of the year. The subject is a man sleeping in the shade to escape the heat, this man was sleeping on the side walk yet no one would even look down at him. I shot this picture to reveal to the world what we usually walk around keeping our eyes on the ground ahead of us.
