This photograph Itself is much like the subject matter. The taking of the photo is ultimately irrelevant. what makes this piece special to me is the fact that it then was forgotten about for two years, until It was found, retouched, and presented as a finished project. Styled after the alleged first photograph to be taken, the contrast making the wear even more evident, colored to denote rust and decay, the piece is a story of bringing the old into the new. Technology gets better every day, but it is important to remember what was once modern and new.
