This summer I went on a very hectic and tiring bike trip with my dad across the Netherlands and the morning of the photo was the first in a while where we got to take our time walking around. When I saw this couple together on the dock I thought about how I had been experiencing the country in such a fast-paced mindset, while I had failed to appreciate the beauty in slowing down and being really present to the moment and space I was in.

Photography is fascinating to me for how a single photo can hold so much beauty, power, and emotion. I love how as I grow my skills and awareness within the cameras frame, I grow my ability to create art that reflects the ways I see the world.
