Prey Animal

  • In this artwork, I explored something that I hold a very close and complicated connection to, which I have struggled with grasping since birth: girlhood and the possession of a female body. Through the use of rabbit features on the subject, I highlight the delicate and prey-like vulnerability often associated with femininity. The floral imagery entwines beauty and fragility, while the nudity reflects exposure and the raw essence of the self. Together, these elements weave a narrative of both strength and fragility, evoking a deep contemplation of identity and survival within a vulnerable form. This piece is a reflection of my journey—one marked by navigating fear, finding resilience, and reclaiming a sense of self amidst the tribulations of growing up female.

  • To me, creativity is the purest expression of self and is a perfect representation of every artist as an individual. Each individual’s personal sense of creativity separates them from a crowd and, in the position of an artist, helps us create beautiful things in ways nobody has seen before.
