As a kid, riding my tricycle was always my favorite pastime activity. Now, at 16, the passion I once had for tricycles has transformed into a desire to learn how to drive a car. With my license, I revisit those adventures I used to live for on the streets, now able to travel distances farther than ever before. Depicted in my artwork, in a way, my childhood dream of exploring beyond the simple neighborhood block is fulfilled, as reflected in the smile of my younger self in the rearview mirror.

Creativity, to me, is a means of self-expression. Original thoughts combined with external inspiration contribute to the formation of art. Viewing other people’s creativity through various forms like writing, drawing, film, etc.—the list goes on—is a way to nonverbally understand their perspective or message that they’re trying to convey.
