The harsh truth about my teen years (so far) is that they have been sort of shitty. This poem collection was written based on different experiences I’ve had while on my path to recovery from mental health issues. I am very proud of my work and I think many people will be able to resonate with it, as there are many small details included both in the formatting and the writing itself to represent feelings that seem impossible to express. This is especially important when trying to confide in to those who’ve never experienced your specific struggles. That was my goal with this collection: to give a voice to things I could never articulate in the moment, but I can in hindsight.

To me, creativity means taking something completely ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary. I means looking at something, and being able to visualize it in a hundred different ways. Creativity is what makes out world and our life interesting.
