  • This school year we learned about inclusivity and sustainability, and then design our vision of a sustainable city. In my art piece, there was a Walgreens on this street and it closed a few years ago. The vacant building has just been sitting there and I wanted to put good use to the space so I added an affordable housing apartment complex. On the main floor of the building there’s an office where people can sign up for resources like food banks, food stamp cards, etc. The resources are not limited to the building residence, anyone who needs help finding affordable housing anywhere in the area can go there for help. I added this because with the rent prices going up people are finding themselves unable to afford to live in the city and they need to find somewhere else to live outside of the city.

  • To me it means expressing yourself with what makes you happy.
