”Leaving Paradise” is a message about climate change and the choice we make to continue moving away from life-sustaining nature in favor of toxic, polluted areas. It reinforces the idea that we need to work with and conserve nature instead of destroying it and poisoning our environment. The light and darkness are used to further this message, with the natural environment in the light and the urban, synthetic one in the dark. The person, representing humanity, is walking away from nature and toward the urban environment but has not completely exited the light, conveying hope for our world.

It may mean creating a short film that displays your feelings and unique perspective on a societal issue, making a sculpture symbolizing something personal to you, or even actualizing an idea unique to yourself.
