Lazy Market Morning

Jessie L.

Oil paint on canvas

  • Growing up, a large part of my childhood was spent visiting local Asian markets with my grandma, exploring the vibrant displays of exotic fruits and vegetables. However as I got older, these trips gradually came to an end. Through this painting, I wanted to recreate the nostalgic feeling of walking through a lively farmers’ market, drawing inspiration from both photographs of my childhood visits and the vivid memories that have stayed with me over the years.

  • To me, creativity is a gift, offering everybody a means to express their own unique identities.
