His Work of Art

Cameron T.

  • This piece started as a random thought in history class. We were looking at these big sculptures, and I noticed how women were always just the subjects, no names, no stories, just what the artist wanted us to see. Most of the artists were men, and it hit me how one-sided it all felt. I kept thinking about what it would be like to be part of someone else’s “masterpiece,” to have your voice erased and your body turned into their idea of art. This piece is my way of flipping that perspective, showing the weight and silence behind the beauty. It’s about asking whose story we’re really celebrating.

  • Creativity, to me, means expressing myself and dealing with life’s ups and downs. It’s about finding ways to represent my thoughts, emotions, and experiences through words and ideas. It helps me understand the world, solve problems, and communicate in a way that feels true to who I am.
