Flat in Paris

Reused items

For my up-cycle project, I happened to find an old trunk on the side of the road. I took home and that’s when my creative idea sparked! Since I love Paris and making miniature rooms, I decided to make a flat in Paris! She has her bedroom on top, her art studio (which includes: ceramics, painting, and fashion design) The bottom floor is her gallery. Almost all of the objects were salvaged and/or reused. I only purchased the books, door, chair, sewing machine, nightstand and stickers. The majority of the items were from my Dads garage and random things I was saving from my mom’s friend who was a hoarder. Some of the items include belt buckle, brooch, table feet, spring, typeball and a piece of my school uniform. For the collage on the right hand side, I used stickers, pictures from travel books and books of famous paintings.

What creativity means to me is coming up with original ideas for my art work. Using out of the box ideas. I put my own creative spin on the project that are surprising and unexpected for my viewers.
