Fisherdad

Larsen P.

  • During my dads pre-game lesson on fly fishing, I squatted on the rock below me and framed the shot, adjusting the correct exposure for my films ISO. I wanted to capture the movement of the rod and ensure a clear focus on my dads expression. I materialized a meaningful moment in my family’s tradition of fly fishing. I captured the effortless yet very technical movement of casting a fly. I used a low ISO film, so the motion couldn’t be stopped entirely but I got a great tonal range. After school on Monday after the weekend up in Reno fly fishing, I went to my school’s dark room and spent an hour making the print and developing other rolls films. I’m thankful to have access to resources provided by my school to expand my passion for photography.

  • I’m a photographer, video producer, sound engineer, and a musician. Creativity is meditation to me, allowing a different part of my brain to work and thrive. It brings me joy to see and reflect on my work, and gives me determination to keep pushing my creativity to the limit.
