This photo consists of 2 of my passions, photography and entomology. I chose to use photography to capture detail, emotion, and the beauty of my subject. Photography is enjoyable for me because I’m able to get as creative as I want or create a vision in my head, developing it into a real project. It feels rewarding being able to see the final product and to show others my eyes through the camera. As for Entomology, I’ve been interested in Entomology for a while and I’ve learned that bugs are cool little creatures that deserve more attention than they get. They’re not as scary as they appear and the majority are usually docile, usually attacking as their last resort if they’re not able to run away. I find that her red coloring brings warmth to the picture, making her appear to be more gentler and making the picture calmer.

To me, creativity means expressing yourself and your crazy ideas. To think outside the box frequently to create something new. More importantly, creativity should be fun. You need to be able to enjoy yourself, your thoughts and ideas, your dedication, and your process in order to open up that creativity.
