Eye Contact

Joss M.

  • As I rattled down the game trails traversing Murchison Falls National Park, I looked in awe at the intriguing and beautiful faces of the wildlife around me. I luckily was able to capture these photos, an immortalization of the moment that would never return. With a fast shutter speed and a long lens I was able to capture these portrait-like shots of the baboon and giraffe, attempting to personify these animals as humans. I wanted to maintain the authentic faces of these animals so I did very minimal digital editing.

  • Creativity is an expression of one’s self. It is an outlet for what words cannot describe. Throughout my trip, I yearned to share the experience with my friends and family and photography was my avenue for showing others the intricacies of the trip.
