Eternal Justice

Debesh D.

  • The poem vividly captures my trip to D.C. back in 8th grade. I was in awe of the captivating scenes at Arlington National Cemetery and wanted to emphasize that it reflects not only the bloodshed paving the way for our generations, but also the leaders and liberators who fought peacefully. Through this piece, I highlight those who battled not just with weapons, but with their voices and ideas. Their efforts demonstrate that real progress can emerge through peaceful means. I hope this artwork encourages viewers to look beyond the typical narrative of violence and recognize the strength of their voices and the lasting impact they can have.

  • To me, creativity is all about avoiding cliches and just letting your original thoughts flow freely into your work. No matter how doubtful you are of your capabilities and though your ideas may seem exotic, being persistent and tenacious in your endeavors is key to sparking your creativity.
