  DEATH DRIVE CHANT came in the throes of escaping heat, the beginnings of fall, creative burnout, California’s fire season, and general death rattle.

• Creative Statement

  Being creative means taking risks---being daring, mischievous, vulnerable, cruelly honest (never toothless). To be creative, you have to be in tune with the drudgeries of life just as you are with the tragedies, the joys, and having the ability to make something of that, too. To be very empathetic.
