I captured this photo on my way home to the SFO airport after a family vacation. Before approaching the scene, I knew I wanted to capture the iconic Sutro tower, as I’d seen it piercing through the clouds during previous flights. I framed the shot to subtly include the airplane wing, adding a layer to improve the shot’s composition. In editing, I enhanced the sky’s vibrancy enough to pop the colors but not make it overwhelming.

Creativity means to me the ability to express yourself in a way inspired by what’s around you, who you are, what you love, hate, or simply are impartial to. For photography, that’s expressed in the different subject matter, style, framing, composition, and color scheme of the shots.
