Body Dysmorphia

Chanel Vidal

  • This piece is a portrayal of a logical struggle many both females and males experience. Many thousands of people spend most of their time stressing about how their physique looks in the mirror, and they even are negatively aware about what they eat, especially constantly comparing their appearance with other human beings, even in the media. When this happens, it’s prone to ruin their day, especially having these intrusive thoughts in their minds and constantly overthinking about how they look every second. This doesn’t apply to only grown females and males but young children aside from adolescents can also experience this, age has nothing to do with mental health and everyone else can be struggling. With this piece of art I aim to spread awareness to the economy that body dysmorphia is a real mental health issue.

  • To me, Creativeness means being yourself instead of fitting in, and that you can use your own signature/different and unique ideas to make a beautiful artwork.
