Boatyard On the Bay

This photo was taken in New Jersey on the populated Long Beach Island. I witnessed many beautiful sunsets while I was there, but this one caught my eye. The difference between the colors in the sky and the shadows of the boatyard provide a sharp contrast that catches the eye. It represents how well some differences pair with each other, and shows how our Earth can make some of the most beautiful colors out of things we see every day. When I looked out the window, wheels in my head started turning and I figured this would make an outstanding picture. While I can’t capture what it really looked like, I like to imagine this image is as close as you can get to the sun.

To me, creativity means having the ability to come up with new ideas that express your emotions and thoughts and helps you connect with other people. For me, this means making artwork that I think is beautiful and enjoyable to look at, specifically art that draws the eye.
