• Artist Statement

  This spine was the last remaining evidence of a whale that had washed up on Muir Beach. I love this photo for the ying/yang proportionality of white water, black rock, and black sand, white bones. I took this photo from a drone and edited it in Lightroom to add contrast and drama.

• Creative Statement

  Mary Oliver said, ”Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination.” Creativity is expressing the unique way that your own mind intersects with reality. It is not expressing what is there, but what your imagination does with it.
