a definition of a sunset

This poem is my definition of sunsets. I have always loved the concept of sunsets, and will always have any excuse to stop what I’m doing to admire the sky. I love how it changes colors, and how each day it’s a little different. I decided to use sunsets as a metaphor to describe certain parts of my identity. I’m constantly changing and growing every day, just like the sky. I wanted to encapsulate sunsets in a meaningful way to capture the sublimity I find from looking at the sky.

Creativity means stepping out of my comfort zone: whether this means crossing boundary lines between types of genres or seeing the little things that no one else sees, I think that creativity is something that stems from one’s heart and can be both empowering and beautiful.
