Someone Like You by Adele

Madeline N. & Liliana C.

  • When I was at a camp this past summer, I had the opportunity to use the camp’s recording studio for a one-hour session. I jumped at the chance, recruiting my friend to accompany my vocals on the piano. As we attempted to create a cover of Someone Like You in an hour, we tested out various chords and I experimented with layering harmony. This submission is the culmination of our creative experimentation in the studio.

  • Music allows me to express my creativity, through testing out new harmonies or an accidental note to add dimension to a piece. Music also allows me to express my emotions creatively, through stylistic components such as dynamic or tone, or by relating to the lyrics.
