• Artist Statement

  This photo was taken at a time when I was feeling very lonely and tired, and I also really like to incorporate shadows into my photos. The black and white and the contrast makes the photo feel very dramatic, and like I said before, portrays the loneliness I was feeling. Also because it was taken in the mornin, the shadows are longer, almost sadder. This photo, though pretty simple, is important to me because of the emotional connection. Plus I think it looks pretty cool.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me is being able to express an idea or a feeling through art, whether it's visual, in writing, or otherwise. It's important to me that my art portrays some kind of emotion I feel or have felt, especially if it's unmistakable what that feeling is.
