Starting with early immersion into music as a student of the Tabla in India during first grade, I discovered the Alto Saxophone as my true passion in middle school. My middle school band director laid the foundation of my musical growth journey who nurtured my love for classical music and passion for the saxophone. Now, as the sole section leader to 20+ saxophonists at school, I mentor their growth and aspire to inspire them with the same love for music and respect for traditions that past section leaders invoked within me. I researched the acoustics of “warm tone quality” - an abstract goal set by saxophone teachers that most students struggle with and am in the process of publishing an Independent Research Paper - "Saxophone Sonority." As an 8th grader in March’20, I wanted to help frontline workers and underprivileged children confronted with COVID-19 exposure. Furthermore, I missed musical collaborations with friends and family. Moved to action, I launched my nonprofit, Magic – a global community of artists called Magicians, who perform to support international beneficiaries and experience stress relief by applying their artistic passion for good. Despite receiving thousands of dollars in music competition scholarships, performing solo twice at Carnegie Hall, participating in national Honor level bands, and being invitations to perform at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall in London, my most memorable musical experience has been achieving autonomy as a learner and receiving mentorship on techniques to unleash my growth.

Celebrating milestones with talent contests to help senior citizens in California and “cars-from-trash races” with classmates in India, I have nurtured a passion for science, music, and community through diverse experiences.
