Reveries

Alyssa Bless T.

  • My poetry is written in respect to my emotions; how I see the world, how I experience the world. With every word I hope to share my stories and thoughts, whatever they may be. Primarily, I love to write about love—all kinds of love—and its effects. However, it is not limited to love; I write about emotions I feel strongly about. The three poems I am submitting are all about love. The first poem is about love for the stars, a love that—for me—mirrors admiration between a child and their mother. The second poem connects the pain from learning guitar to the pain of falling in love. The third poem is also about romantic love, using blood and human anatomy as a metaphor for devotion.

  • Creativity is the expression of yourself; your thoughts, your emotions, your being. It can be expressed through different mediums—there is not one better than the other—as in the end the goal is the artist recognizes themself in it. I myself see who I am in the words I write.
