Pensive Waterbuck

Hannah P.

  • This photo was taken on a Jeep tour at Safari West, a nearby wildlife and safari conservation park. The waterbuck immediately captured my attention, and I loved how it was posed, looking out the doorway down to the valley below. I waited until the light was perfect, composed the photo, and captured the image you see in front of you. The photo was not edited, as I felt it was meaningful to keep it natural and an accurate representation of the wildlife to have a better impact.

  • To me, creativity in photography means being able to show how you see the world through your photographs. Sometimes you’ll need to edit your photo to fully capture that, but at other times the raw, natural photo can show something that is even more impactful.
