  • This piece of writing is based on the thought experiment Roko's Basilisk. A thought experiment that details the creation of a highly intelligent super computer whose sole purpose is to advance humanity. The basilisk deems the only way to do this is through torturing any human that knows of it's existence but did not do anything to bring it's creation to fruition. I put my own spin on this thought experiment by creating a puzzle where you don't know who the main character/narrator is. It is also never explicitly told who he is but is rather told through a bit of deception, environmental storytelling, and through the narrator's own word choice/ syntax.
