After flipping through an amphibian anatomy book, I immediately envisioned an art piece overflowing with frogs. Before starting, I planned to make my piece fully stippled in black and white. However, I quickly gave into the bright colors that I imagined could make up my King Frog. While I collaged, I made sure to pay attention to the gradient change and contrast. The pattern in the background is inspired by a class trip to the de Young, where we saw Kehinde Wiley's exhibit.

As an only child, my favorite way to entertain myself has always been drawing. And, I am learning that creativity is everywhere, not just in art--it's in writing essays and telling stories. It's also in my job--I teach wood working to kids and help them uncover their own creative spark.
